Printers We Use
Our color printers are specifically developed and designed for the
production of outdoor signs, banners, and graphics for up to 3
years. It employs six new industrial piezo inkjet heads featuring
512 nozzles per color (for a total of 3072 nozzles) that jet a
revolutionary new lower-solvent ink with expanded color gamut
feature.
The New Expanded Gamut Outdoor Ink
Set
The Expanded Gamut Outdoor Ink set includes 6 pigmented ink colors:
cyan, magenta, yellow, black, light cyan, and light magenta. Each
ink was developed to jet reliably through the industrial piezo
inkjet heads of the printer, and to provide
industry leading performance on a wide range of uncoated media such
as uncoated adhesive vinyl, banner scrim, films, fabric, and paper.
Color Gamut: The six color Ink set can reproduce the an
extremely wide range of colors, and has been specifically designed
to provide depth and color fidelity in the red and black areas of
the color spectrum - colors that traditional solvent and lower
solvent inks have not reproduced well. Our inks provide an unmatched
color gamut, allowing the production of better and more realistic
signage and graphics.
Solvent Content: The new inks are lower solvent inks; that
is, they have a lower solvent content than traditional solvent inks,
produce less VOCs, and emit less odors. Unlike other wide-format
printer ink sets, our inks do not contain Cyclohexanon - a compound
identified by certain health organizations as poisonous to humans.
UV Lightfastness:
As the ink set is a pigmented-based ink -
it can withstand a great deal of indoor (fluorescent) and outdoor
(UV) light exposure without significant fading. Preliminary results
indicate our inks rank extremely high in terms of sustained outdoor
ligntfastness without fading. As accelerated light and weather
testing methods can only approximate actual outdoor conditions,
actual performance can vary based on geography, latitude, angle
orientation, chemical exposure (acid rain), and temperature. Under
normal conditions, our inks are recommended for outdoor applications
up to 3 years without lamination on standard uncoated vinyl and
banner materials.
